I refer to my new systems as -
Spirit Communication Devices (SCD)

NEW EVP EXPERIMENT
This was not the usual public vigil.
The evening was recorded on professional video recording equipment.
A mixed group of people were invited to Plas Teg where new equipment
was on test.
Of specific interest was the plant/GSR system and
a new 'aqua-sonic' dual microphone system was in use.
Also set up was the multi laser-illumination system and a laser
break-beam alarm.
During the demonstration and recording of the multi-laser
system on the top landing, the laser break-beam alarm was also active.
At this time I demonstrated the blue/ultraviolet digital lighting
to establish if the professional camera could see the effect of
the light, unexpectedly the break-beam alarm was triggered. Unfortunately
nothing could be seen with the naked eye at that time. This happened
several times but nothing could be seen.
The pro camera was left recording whilst we went for a break, I
am waiting to view the recording as it has been reported by the
cameraman a 'light anomaly' was recorded!.
Later, several pieces of equipment was set-up in
the regency room, these were Draconian plant connected to a Sentinel
1 in the GSR (galvanic skin response) mode, in this set-up the Sentinel
1 measures any minute voltage change between two leaves.
Although the sentinel did not detect anything 'paranormal', various
people took turns touching a leaf, it was noted that certain people
could induce a reaction in the plant, indicated on the sentinel
as LEDS changing.
Some people induced very little reaction on the plant, the people
who induced a greater reaction was a person close to animal care
and the other a regular gardener and nature watcher.
Also set on the table was the new Aqua-Sonic Microphone
system, this is a basic audio amplifier system designed to potentially
assist EVP/spirit voices to communicate.
When every one was in the room and generally chatting, the aqua-sonic
system was giving a broken crackling sound. When the group focused
there attention on the equipment connected to the plant, the aqua-sonic
system became quiet.
When chat and attention once again became more general the aqua-sonic
system became active. After several tests it was confirmed the crackling
noise was not caused by physical vibration. As this was the first
test of this system, I find the first result very interesting, there
is potential of better results when I use the system again with
an amplifier with selectable frequency amplification.
The reason for the design of this new equipment is that it is known
that sound travels through water easier than through air, therefore
a microphone submersed in water is likely hear 'better'. On the
night the system behaved 'unusually', becoming active when peoples
attention random and completely inactive if no-one was paying attention.
My view is that this is how people react, trying to join or contribute
to a conversation where possible.
Technically a voice could not be heard, but the sounds were similar
to a damaged microphone but in this case the microphone was fine,
my view is that frequency response or filtering will enable the
sound to be heard more clearly.
Next week at Plas Teg will be interesting!
During the early part of the evening a photo was taken of a friend
with an 'orb' close to the person.
Although many photos with 'orbs' on them have explanations of the
phenomena
I would be happy to demonstrate to anyone why the dust, dirt, pollen,
water moisture are not the only explanation for all 'orbs', this
would a demonstration with a laser system.
This evening was partly a test of how people (given
the opportunity) can interact with technical equipment during an
investigation.
From the believer to the complete sceptic, all comments and observations
about reactions from electronic equipment is very useful and welcome.
This is a format of investigation I would like to
help to bring to television, filling a void left by M**t H*****d
and others programmes - allowing public involvement, taking an active
role

Can/do we communicate with the spirit world
on a telepathic level?
My main criteria for proof of 'paranormal activity' is
a response indicated by my electronic equipment.
The following incident went further.
Location - the Bridge Inn, Port Sunlight, Wirral, 18/8/2008.
An investigation with UK-Paranormal
The group had returned to the dining room for a short
vigil with little to report, after carrying around my tripod mounted,
equipment platform I placed on the floor near a table, where earlier it
had given responses.
As the rest of the group had left only Allison (UKP) and myself remained,
she was recovering her camcorder and was about to leave when the machine
began to react, Allison decided to stay.
The system began to give short bursts of feedback (feedback within a conventional
stage P.A. system is caused when the microphone picks up the audio output
from the speaker, it only stops when the microphone is moved) this I now
refer to as EMR- electromagnetic response.
When the EMR started I reduced the sensitivity to rule out a high setting,
the responses continued. There were two of us present, positioned about
1 ½ metres behind the system we both stood still, and moved around
slightly to see if we were affecting the responses, it continued.
I was happy we were the only (living) persons present and we were not
causing the EMR, I began to ask if there was a spirit present, a burst
of EMR was taken as a 'yes'
Further questions were answered this way, but I began to notice something
unusual was happening, responses were coming as I thought of the question
- before I said the words, this happened two or three times. I did not
mention this to Allison at this time.
My thoughts at that time was it a telepathic link? But
as I had not conceived of that possible in these circumstances and my
goal is purely responses from the electronic equipment I was unsure what
to think.
Allison took over asking the questions with better responses,
after several questions she remarked that she said she also thought the
responses were happening before she spoke the words, I was elated, having
deliberately not told her about my thoughts, she also independently reported
the phenomena.
This was unexpected; the EMR appeared to give proof of
a telepathic link between us (normal investigators) the spirit world.
Although telepathy is a 'known' phenomena it is difficult to provide conclusive
proof, but with this system anyone present could participate and ask questions,
then decide for him or herself if the telepathic phenomena exists.
I would be interested if researches such as Dr Ciaran
O'keeffe,
Professor Richard Wiseman, Professor Geoff Beattie would like to take
part in further research, especially as they are usually the 'authority'
to dismiss such phenomena.
I would be especially interested if Stephen Hawking would take part.
Although I accept this could read as a fabricated event,
anyone drawing that conclusion could take part on an investigation and
draw there own conclusion.
This was an unexpected and new event for me, and as it
happened to two people I am satisfied it happened, only further research
with independent witnesses will decide a conclusion.
During future work I would like to add further monitoring
equipment during a 'vigil', this could include a plant/GSR system, computer
audio monitoring system and independent recording systems.
This goes beyond the antics of scream &
shout, Scooby doo, poo my pants investigation, this is real and very exciting
especially when it happens to you personally.
My thoughts are that this is related to Cleve Backsters 'primary perception'-
a telepathic link ?

Evp research holds the most exciting prospect of paranormal research,
as an engineer it is a challenge for me to create an electronic system
to assist those on the other side to communicate directly with us.
It is not my intension to create an 'electronic medium', from my experiences
so far I believe those 'in spirit' would only be capable of limited communication
through electronic equipment, this I believe is because for the spirit,
using electronic equipment would take more effort/energy than communicating
through a living Medium.
I believe Mediumship communication is on a telepathic level and I am unsure
I can ever create equipment with the same capabilities (although with
sufficient resources I would not rule this out).
I believe the electronic equipment I presently use, can assist those 'in
spirit' to communicate.
The EVP equipment I experiment with can be considered
as an amplified link between worlds.
The crucial difference is that my systems offer real-time responses, anyone
present can answer confirm whatever happens.
For the purpose of paranormal investigation three points
are crucial -
1, The equipment is independent from any recording equipment
2, Persons present can all hear and interact with any responses
3, The event is recorded on independent equipment,preferably on more than
one type of media
| I'm not satisfied with feint murmurs portrayed as
evidence by programmes shown on UK television - M**t H*****d and T**s.
I now use several new types of technology in the
pursuit of 'real time' EVP's -
Voice activated plasma ball and audio amplifier.
A living plant connected harmlessly to a GSR galvanic
skin response machine and an audio amplifier. Although I do not
expect a voice from this set-up, the plant as a living sensor might
show a response to the presence of a spirit.
A new twin energy 'active' sensor with audio EVP
potential, it individually generates an electromagnetic field and
an electrostatic field. These high frequency fields are connected
to tone generators, any change in the energy fields change the audio
tone. A microphone mounted near the emitters could potentially allow
an EVP to be picked up.
This system is also a replacement for the standard
EMF meter, detecting changes in generated energy fields is more
relevant to detecting the potential presence of a ghost than detecting
mains generated ac magnetic fields.
Under development - liquid microphone - 360 degree,
low frequency detection system - infrasound?

The experimental EVP/SCD systems I have built are designed
to potentially give 'real time' communication with the spirit world.
I have built four experimental systems, all have different electronic
circuits to allow a greater experimental opportunity. This is based on
research, tests and design needs.
SCD 1 is the first to give a significant
response (at Ruthin jail)
Desk style, twin channel, low and high frequency mic inputs, switched
external mixing unit, external speakers, many intended uses multiple adjustable
settings.
This is a short excerpt of a recording
was made during an investigation at Ruthin Jail, North Wales in 2007.
The SCD1 reacted by going in and out of 'feedback', the feedback was not
constant, it had an unusual vibration that changed in frequency, the sound
also appeared to move around the room, the reactions that seemed to respond
to question or our conversation. At times it would stay silent and with
out any changes in the room it would give responses.
Everyone was fairly still except Chris Wright on camera who needed pan
the camera around, I occasionally adjusted settings on the system but
it still reacted in the same way.
Most of the questions were from Sheena Young, Medium and leader of UK
Paranormal, but some responses were directed towards myself, perhaps as
I was the only male present and Mary (the spirit visitor) was when she
was alive a 'lady of the night'!
The vigil lasted approximately 25 minutes and after what we believe was
the word 'sleep' and then 'yes sleep' was heard from Mary, through the
machine, we honoured that request and concluded the vigil.
Everyone present was excited by the event, I was ecstatic, this was what
I have looked forward to for a long time, real evidence - recorded in
real-time with witnesses present.
I believe it was the first real-time response via a machine, from a spirit,
from a direct question.
The same feedback response has since happened at other locations and from
other machines.
Although the feedback is not an ideal response it is not ordinary feedback
as heard from a stage microphone, I am happy with the result and further
modifications will yield clearer responses.
My full portable investigation kit -
camcorder, digital camera, stereo digital lighting unit (now equiped with
high frequncy pulsed lasers) and SCD2 spirit communication device. Tripod
mounted, quick realse head - carry platform.
SCD 2 - mono mic, designed to be mounted on the portable camcorder/digital
camera/digital platform, multiple adjustable settings. positive result
at Plas Teg and other locations.
This was recorded at Plas Teg, whilst Sheena
is in communication with a spirit, she predicts the SCD2 will react and
then it does, with a burst of 'spirit induced feedback' in the past this
reaction has potentially indicated the presence of a spirit or a form
of communication with a spirit.

speakers, record socket, not yet tested (6-8-08)
