A seemingly contradictory statement
that may nonetheless be true.


Entrepreneurs, financiers and business angles all know in the lowest part of a recession, projects, new businesses, concepts begun at this time with successful potential have the greatest prospect of becoming market products.
When standing at the bottom of a mountain, the only way is up
I am not a businessman, I am an 'outside of the box thinking' a designer, builder electronics/mechanical engineer. I design and build electronic circuits from components, I usually find solutions to the engineering challenges I set as part of the projects I engage in.
I now accept I have abilities other people refer to as cleaver, so I would like to benefit from those skills. But to help me bring my product ideas to market I require financial support and business advice.
In return as in all successful business partnerships I will share the rewards of successful profitable products.
I will succeed slowly with what I believe to be the project with the greatest potential, the X Ski project, but with financial investment but more importantly expert business knowledge the X Ski will yield bigger and faster results.
Other projects listed below have a potential of reward with investment, others have experimental potential, all involve technology that will work or not work, I have the ability to experimentally build projects listed, but without speculative investment I doubt I will get an opportunity to work on due to my lack of time, governed by my sacrifice of a low income job, but one that allows me to think.


As the time is drawing nearer when oil based fuels are becoming more expensive
and at some time in the near future, alternative energy for transport and domestic use will be required, some of my energy research projects might be of interest to those with this interest.

If any of my projects appeal as investable projects I am open to discussion and to enter into a business partnership.



Projects

The X-Ski

A new concept of water leisure craft related to a conventional Jet Ski
A multi direction, dual steering controls, dual vector thrust system, new hull design, new fun.


The 'X ski' is a motocross watercraft, able to travel forwards, backwards, sideways, turn on its own axis. It will also be able to perform new maneuvers at speed.
It employs a water thrust system similar to a conventional 'jet ski' but uses two independently controllable directional thrust nozzles and a new dual lever steering control.
The new steering control comprises of two levers each controlling an individual thrust nozzle giving a new control potential within personal leisure water craft.

It is a form of electro-mechanical power steering, allowing the operator to make rapid changes of direction of the thrust with minimal physical effort, causing rapid reactions of the craft. This will allow previously unseen maneuvers from a small watercraft.
The X-Ski will incorporate a new hull design, needing no keel because the thrust nozzles would control all direction movement, the new shape will resemble a saucer and will contribute to the extra maneuverability

Although I can visualize its performance, in the hands of an experienced stunt rider of a conventional Jet Ski, many more maneuvers will be possible - tricks, jumps etc
I believe it has strong potential to be part of or create a new sport based around the craft.

There are potentially several product variables within the design -
Conventional petrol engine power - direct drive
Conventional petrol engine power - ElectroMagnetic drive
Rechargeable battery power
Remote control scale model

Tidal lift
A renewable energy production


As the need for greater production of clean renewable energy any new technology able to make use of free earth energy will contribute to reduced carbon emissions.

The system is intended to capture and store kinetic energy from rising and falling tidal flow.
Electrical energy production would be available immediately after maximum tide height or the kinetic energy could be stored until required.
A design related within this technology could produce energy as the ide rises and falls.
The designs are scalable from micro to large scale plants.

I do not know what power could be produced until I could conduct tests.

Does not require floating barrage blocking an estuary




Spectral Lighting

Commissioned as an experiment by a professional broadcast cameraman, after a discussion about portable lighting I built a prototype effect multi colour lighting system initially designed for a handheld broadcast camera.

The system is a battery powered, incorporates up to eight colours of LEDs, each independently controlled allowing the user to generate a wide range of colours from the camera towards the subject by adjusting the intensity of each colour.
The system was conceived to allow a camera operator to mix and tune the colour of a subject in real-time, to correct poor or incorrect natural lighting.
As it would be camera mounted and adjustable by individual variable tuning controls, the operator would have linear control of the colour of the illuminated subject.
Individual uses include science fiction effects, re balancing skin tone during interviews and on a larger scale the lighting director on a film set could have full colour spectrum under linear control.
The most common system presently used requires individual colour gel sheets to be placed on front of white lighting, this reduces the light output.


 

TELEVISION Production - investigation documentaries

I would like to create a programme series based on a combination of several programme concepts- Arthur C Clark mysterious world, Tomorrows world, The X files and Most Haunted.

Paranormal investigation
Coordinated investigations using new unique electronic equipment including
lighting, sensing, recording and spirit communication technology. Also to be integrated with psychic experiments


Aurora borealis
During the forthcoming predicted increase in the suns activity on its 11 year cycle the effect seen here on earth - Aurora Borealis is also due to increase.
Did ancient man study the effects of the Aurora?, can any effect be detected at ancient sites - stone circles, standing stones, burial chambers. Did ancient man sense an effect at these places? Can technology detect effects at a site at the time of an atmospheric Aurora event?
And for a new experiment to travel to northern latitudes where the Aurora Borealis is most visible and use new light to sound equipment to experimentally try to detect a sound or song generated from the moving light of the Aurora?

Does psychic ability exist?
Can it be tested for with technology?, Can it be detected?, can it be taught?, can it be used for specific purposes?
I have prepared a range of experiments and procedures using technology and interactive exercises to test and train for a very interesting experiment.

Crop circles
A new investigation in to crop circles using new experimental sensing technology and a encoded signal transmission experiment.
Ancient burial chambers
To follow up on previous experiments I would artificially recreate sound similar to chanting/drumming in ancient 'burial' chambers, to monitor the effect on persons present and to ask the question are ancient burial chambers misunderstood? Did they have another (real) purpose?

UK SETI
Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence based in the USA have spent millions of dollars searching for signals and evidence of life in space - with little results.
Could they be 'looking' in the wrong way.
I (have and) would use voice to light technology to transmit messages and listen to light for responses.
I have built technology that can convert and transmit audio into focused light using LEDs and listen for a response in light by converting light into audio.


On going research / experiments -


Experimental plant growth stimulation with light modulated by sound.

It is reported that plants respond favorably to music or a persons voice, but as plants are reliant on light as an energy source, would a plant be more responsive to light vibrating as sound?

Would light of a specific colour (wavelength) vibrated at a harmonic frequency
or music, words or tones be favorable to encourage plant growth?
For remote locations this technology could be applied to poly tunnel growing using solar power renewable energy power supply.
As well as monitoring long term plant growth for results, real-time monitoring of light conductivity through a leaf and plant 'bio-electrical' activity could be used for faster reactions from a plant.
Various tones, vocal speech, music, random noise could be used and tested for reactions with various plant species.
A successful system could increase crop yields without genetic manipulation and be powered by solar renewable energy.


The off-set crank radial engine
A new engine design.

A potentially a more mechanically and energy efficient design from two significant theoretical changes-

A radial type arrangement of pistons and crankshaft utilizing wasted kinetic energy in a conventional engine.

A repositioned piston-crank relationship making better use of the power stroke



Experimental low energy hydrogen production from water

Research to be conducted to try to create an on demand Hydrogen production system using lower power resonating electrical energy.

Experimental Diesel fuel combustion efficiency improver.
An experimental project to electrically alter the structure of the fuel allowing a cleaner burn by affecting the high carbon content.

The aim is to electrically affect change the carbon within the fuel to give a potential of a more complete - cleaner combustion


Varidrive


A new car integrated transmission system
A constantly variable transmission, a smooth ratio 'gear' change system.

To be combined into a linear-logic engine speed, gear ratio control system
The system is designed to constantly control engine speed and transmission gear ration to give the most fuel efficient ratio for the road speed as desired by the driver and controlled by the foot pedal that formally controlled the engine revs.
