Magnetic v Electric Fields

Traditional EMF meters used on paranormal investigations are designed to pick up electrically generated magnetic fields and are usually calibrated at 50 or 60hz.

Although they undoubtedly have a use in detecting mains and manmade electromagnetic fields, my interest is in detecting the presence or evidence of the spirit world.

EMF meters generally require an external magnetic field to influence the meters sensor to give a reading, I have yet to find evidence of a spirit person able to generate a magnetic field strong enough for an EMF meter to detect.

I have found little evidence of EMF meters giving substantial corroborative evidence of paranormal activity, although I have witnessed some unexplainable activity myself from an EMF meter.

I do not dismiss the use of EMF meters on investigations, but a basic understanding of how
they work would help decide what they are detecting.

Through my experiments and experiences I believe there is a greater possibility to detect a 'spirit presence' by detecting changes in magnetic and electric fields individually, and I believe the electric field sensors show the best promise.
