Programme
Format
Spiritual Paranormal Investigations (working title only)
Pushing back the boundaries of paranormal research.
To promote the quest for further knowledge.
By using the general public (under supervision) as investigators, they would take a leading role in gathering results from new ‘paranormal activity’ detection equipment, therefore adding credibility to the programme.
Experienced investigators would be readily available to instruct (up to a maximum of 12 people) and provide reassurance and safety during the one hour investigation.
Throughout, all sensations and perceptions would be monitored.
Various tasks would include:- monitoring of equipment, séances and dowsing.
A varying cross section of the public, paranormal societies and celebrities would be used to deliberately change the characteristics of each episode.
Collated information from the various sources e.g. electronic equipment, recorded activity, medium-ship and interviews would be revised at the end of each programme.
As many technical investigators and public are keen to use this equipment, it would provide opportunities to answer the commonly heard question ‘ I just want to see something’.
From the outset all participants will be advised on procedure and safety. They will be selected from a questionnaire to ensure they conform to certain criteria.
SPI will provide access to a subject of increasing popularity. From my previous experiences in this field, I believe the general public can fulfil vital roles as investigators. The equipment made available will produce many ways of recording evidence of paranormal activity
By developing a greater understanding of the world of spirit, we can continue to pursue knowledge of the paranormal in a responsible and dignified manner- yet producing a thought provoking, intelligent programme.
About
me.
I am the designer and builder of all the electronic equipment that would be available to the programme.
I am the longest serving paranormal investigator at Plas Teg. It is reputed to be the most haunted house in North Wales. I have become friends with the owner and I have permission to use Plas Teg for a programme (for a fee). I have been involved in working with the public on investigations for several years.
I am a member of the Welsh Assembly Government Innovation Network, a monthly advisory group for designers and inventors.
I also host ‘psychokinesis’ events where the public can test for them selves if they have ‘mind power’ abilities. Dowsers and ‘healers’ have shown an interest in these tests, as they can the see results for them selves immediately.
They expressed an interest in repeating the event and furthering their research using the equipment.
The programme to also include my personal and unusual connection with Plas Teg.
I was born at Trevelyn, at the time a nursing, but almost 400 years ago it was the home of Sir John Trevor and his family
Sir John Trevor commissioned Plas Teg to be built and was completed in 1610.
I found it interesting that when I first visited Plas Teg as a paranormal investigator, I had no knowledge of my connection to the house.
I know that both sides of my family have lived in this area for some time. I have become curious to discover how far back I can trace my ancestors. It would be an interesting addition to a programme to follow my research into my past.
Can I trace back my ancestry to 1610, the time of sir John Trevor I, the first owner of Plas Teg?
Were my family in the area at that time?
Am I connected to the ghost of sir John Trevor, who is said to haunt Plas Teg to this day?
I have recently discovered an untold ‘ghost story’
From a newspaper story a was contacted by a man with information relating to a world war two ‘Ghost sighting’ at Plas Teg.
There are possibly people still living that can confirm the new information that has come to my attention.
First hand information might be available, through research into factual events.
This is part of Plas Teg’s history, as yet unknown except to me and one other person, it is a new modern Ghost story worthy of investigation.
This I believe would make an interesting contribution to a documentary element, within a episode at Plas Teg.

Some of the lighting is from low power lasers which
must be used with caution.
Use of this equipment would be made available to the programme.
Instructions and guidance would be given to participants by myself.
Pulsed variable frequency, Blue, Ultraviolet and Infrared portable lighting technology.
The blue and ultraviolet light is at the opposite end of our visual spectrum and offers previously unseen opportunities to record that elusive ‘ghost’.
Can be used with broadcast cameras.
The system adds a new night vision capability to investigations and is favourable for use with video camera, still camera and the human eye.
Sentinel - energy change detection systems.
Equipped with a L.E.D. display for night time use and an audio output for a secondary response. Sentinels are able to trigger a digital camera automatically and trigger a remote L.E.D. display that can re recorded by an adapted camcorder.
Sensors include –
Electric field,
Magnetic field,
Low frequency vibrations (infrasound),
A living plant,
Quartz crystal,
Laser light intensity,
Video signal from a camcorder.
Laser light provides lighting ability over great distances
Individual lasers and multiple tripod mounted lasers provide new opportunities to see and record a ‘ghost’
Portable ‘break beam’ alarms give an audio response if the beam is broken.
‘Turbo laser’ – a beam expanding system.
All laser systems can be recorded with broadcast quality cameras.
Pulsed infrared object locator and light meter,
Able to detect changes in laser light intensity.
An accurate close range illuminated meter.
A voice or sound is recorded but is not heard at the time, it is only heard upon playback.
My new experimental equipment is designed for ‘real-time’ communication.
There are several systems available.
Further new equipment is still under development.
